This horse is particularly special to me because I owned and rode him during his racing days. During his race career he enjoyed cross training (trail riding, hill work, jump schooling). After retiring from the track, he came through my program to be formally restarted as an event horse. He found a home with a wonderful AA who ultimately decided she couldn’t offer him the living situation he prefers - lots of turnout with buddies to play with - and therefore he is available again. Vamonos has a quirky, lovable personality but does require a patient handler who can manage his quirks on the ground as he continues to mature.

 

He would be fantastically suited to a pro or very ambitious amateur who can offer him structure and a full time job. He has three quality gaits on the flat and is incredibly fun to jump. He goes all three phases in a snaffle and never gets hot or strong. He is immensely rideable on cross country - confident to the fences and comes softly back to his rider at any time. He is schooling Novice questions.
